- Content of the sample is not addressed in the article by way of critical commentary, and it is being used only to demonstrate how the presenter sounds, which also isn't addressed, and could be achieved using text. In short, it's comparable to a non-free image being used for decoration, and fails WP:NFCC. Additionally, it's longer than the maximum recommended length for non-free sound samples, and lacks a precise source. It should go. Rodhullandemu 01:23, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- File:Vocal technique.ogg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- This is a journalist's recorded commentary on the vocal style of Andrea Bocelli, which is unnecessary as (a) other samples of Bocelli's style are available and (b) there is no need to have this in the article since its contents could be cited in the article and the sample linked to satisfy WP:V. Additionally, the sample is longer then the maximum recommended length for audio (30 seconds). Rodhullandemu 01:28, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- File:Tigersharks.ogg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Clip is not subject of critical commentary in the associated article, and is therefore merely decorative and fails WP:NFCC. Rodhullandemu 01:42, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- File:The Simpsons Opening Credits Circus Couch Gag.ogg (delete | talk | history | logs) – uploaded by Adammw (notify | contribs | uploads).
- The purpose of video clips is to describe in articles that which cannot be adequately described in text; however, the article in which this clip is used includes a textual description of the clip. This makes the clip redundant , merely decorative, and a breach of WP:NFCC. Additionally, the clip is 1.5 minutes long, which is way beyond normal limits for non-free content and there is no justification for this excess. It should go. The result of the discussion was: keep. This file appears to be critically discussed in both articles it is used in. — ξxplicit 00:26, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- File:Spiegelman-cover.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs) – uploaded by Pepso2 (notify | contribs | uploads).
- Primary reason is that this is not allowed fair use. It is used only in the article Art Spiegelman to illustrate his work. But (if my understanding is correct) magazine covers may only be used to illustrate material in the magazine of which the illustration is the cover. Nothing about the contents of that issue of the the New Yorker is included in the article. Secondary reason, the image is false and misleading. The Spiegelman article has it right: "At first it appears to be totally black, but upon close examination it reveals the silhouettes of the World Trade Center towers in a slightly darker shade of black." This file looks nothing like that. Granted its taken from the New Yorker web site, but just because they want to host false images doesn't mean we should. Herostratus (talk) 03:43, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- What does the image look like to you? Pepso2 (talk) 00:10, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. The picture is also used on the article for the New Yorker. Specifically it is used in a section talking about the New Yorker's coverage after 9/11, so I think it works as fair use. --Thesloth (talk) 07:59, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Disagree. This file and two others are being discussed at Talk:Paige Matthews#Removal of files, and a third opinion has been sought to help resolve this issue. Apparently editor AniMate has been deleting many images from many articles under the opinion that they are against this policy. We are in active disagreement on the Paige Matthews discussion page. Please do not delete these images until our disagreement is resolved. Thank you.

- Delete: image is used decoration and fails WP:NFCC#8 and is easily replaceable by a free image so also fails WP:NFCC#1. It has only one rationale even though it is used in three articles and those uses fail #1 & #8 also. ww2censor (talk) 16:33, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete Images of players in sporting events are usually replaceable. If this particular image were historically important, there'd be a reason to keep this image. That's not the case here. --Hammersoft (talk) 14:07, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Please do not delete the file as it has compiled with all terms and conditions except the replaceability of the image. It is supposed to spread information on the Chennai Super Kings and it is featured in the CLT20 to create the awareness that the side is one of the participating teams in the league.
- Unfortunately non-free images must comply with all 10 non-free content criteria. ww2censor (talk) 05:29, 10 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
